Social Inclusion Forum 2013
Social Inclusion Forum - Tuesday, 26 March 2013 9.00am – 16.00pm Croke Park Conference Centre, Dublin 3
This year’s Social Inclusion Forum (SIF) will take place on 26th March 2013. This event is part of the institutional framework put in place by the Government to support the development of the National Action Plan for Social Inclusion 2007-2016.
The Forum provides an opportunity for wider public consultation and discussion on social inclusion issues, particularly with people experiencing poverty and social exclusion and the groups that work with them. This year’s Forum will include a focus on the social dimension of the Europe 2020 Strategy, the poverty component of the National Reform Programme and progress towards meeting the National Social Target for Poverty Reduction.
The timing of SIF has been changed to fit with the European semester, in particular the preparation of the national reform programme 2013 update. To coincide with Ireland’s Presidency of the EU, this year’s event will have an enhanced European focus. A detailed programme can be found here.
