The Office for Social Inclusion is committed to making the information on this website accessible to all. The following statement outlines progress towards providing a high standard of accessibility throughout this web site.
Compliance to the Web Accessibility Initiative Guidelines
All HTML documents on this website (www.socialinclusion.ie) adhere to Web Accessibility Initiative WCAG 1.0 Level-AA (Double A). This is an internationally recognised benchmark for accessibility.
The website uses W3C (World Wide Web Consortium) technologies wherever possible. However there remains a large number of documents that use the Portable Document Format (PDF). Certain publications are provided by organisations outside of this Office and the Department of Social and Family Affairs.
Other documents on this site are provided by the Department of Social and Family Affairs and are available only in this format, or in Microsoft Word. If you cannot access the information in any PDF or Word document please email email@example.com. We will endeavour to provide the same information to you via alternative means.
To access PDF documents you are required you to download and install the free Adobe Acrobat Reader software.
We will continue to monitor developments and changes in accessibility guidelines to improve the accessibility features of our website.
