This year’s Annual Social Inclusion Forum (SIF) will take place on 9 November 2011. The Social Inclusion Forum is part of the structures put in place by the Government to support the development of the National Action Plan for Social Inclusion 2007-2016. National Action Plan for Social Inclusion 2007-2016 (NAPinclusion)

The event provides a forum for wider public consultation and discussion on social inclusion issues, particularly with people experiencing poverty and social exclusion and the groups that work with them.

This year’s Forum will include of an update on the Annual Social Inclusion Report for 2009 & 2010.  The Report will present a clear picture of progress across all the various policy areas and the first impact of the current economic downturn during the review period. The Forum will also look at the review of the National Anti- Poverty Target, which is currently underway.
